Wattvision does it right

In Fall of 2010, I had worked on a similar project at Illinois Tech for their Smart Grid Infrastructure. Only my version implemented a simple hall-effect sensor and a ZigBee radio for wireless transmission of information. But these guys here, have a much cleaner implementation using an infra-red sensor/analog sensor directly placed on a digital/analog meter.
